A worn-out or damaged copy of 'Titanic' can be replaced easily, but the tapes that hold your family memories are irreplaceable. VCRs have a nasty habit of mangling tapes, as we all know, but that's not the main threat to your video memories. The biggest enemy is TIME. You are probably aware that video tapes deteriorate a little each time they are played, but did you know that they continue to deteriorate, whether or not they are played? It's true, video tape - even if it just sits on a shelf or in a drawer - is in a constant state of deterioration and has a lifespan of only 8—15 years. If you have not played your tapes for a while, perhaps its time to check on them! The good news is that we can stop this deterioration, dead in its tracks. Allow us to transfer your tapes to DVD and those magical family moments will be preserved and secured for generations to come. (DVDs are expected to last at least 100 years!) Once your tapes have been transferred you will enjoy the convenience of watching them on your DVD player. Menus and chapters make it easy to find your favourite moments and we can add titles, captions, Hollywood style cross-fades, background music — we can even edit out footage that you don't want! VHS Mini-DV DVD-R DVD+R we can also transfer Slides and Photographs onto DVD Additional Services: Via trusted partners we can transfer other formats such as Digital8, VHS-C, S-VHS, Video 8, Hi8 and Betamax and Cine Film (please contact us if you require any of these services) What about Copyright? We can only transfer video that belongs to you. We will not transfer tapes that contain material copyrighted by someone else. Nor will we transfer tapes that contain obscene or illegal material. We can, however, get around copy-protection if the subject matter belongs to you - for example a wedding or christening How many tapes can I put on one DVD? We can fit up to 2 hours of video onto one DVD. (It is possible to fit more but quality begins to suffer). For example: if you have two 60-minute tapes we can fit these onto a single DVD. Likewise, four 30-minute videos can be transferred to one DVD. But if you have a single video tape that is over two hours in duration we will transfer it to two DVDs and a 50% additional charge will apply. Do I get my original tapes back?
